Denver, CO, USA – July 31, 2020 – Tyde Systems is thrilled to announce they partnering with Red Rocks Community College’s cybersecurity apprenticeship program and are currently hosting several interns. The program is brand new and coincides with the company’s move into a new building in the Denver Tech Center providing them with growth and service expansion opportunities.

Vice President of Business and Engineering Services, Christy Kemper, calls the space “a dream office for us.” Tyde Systems is the only IT company in their new building, located at 8200 E Belleview Ave, Suite 34C, Greenwood Village CO, 80111. Additionally, the business was chosen because of the high demand for IT services in the DTC area.

The campus the office is located at offers incredible mountain views and an invaluable attached parking garage. The immediate trade area offers a community-oriented residential population and a substantial daytime office population housed in over 28 million square feet of office space in Denver’s Southeast Suburban Submarket.

Red Rocks Community College, recently registered a cybersecurity apprenticeship with the United States Department of Labor as part of the national apprenticeship system, becoming the first government-recognized cybersecurity apprenticeship program in Colorado. Registered Apprenticeships are a proven workforce development strategy that offer hands-on learning opportunities to apprentices and an expanded talent pool to employers. The cybersecurity apprenticeship combines technical instruction with on-the-job learning in the unique “earn and learn” environment. Students will complete the apprenticeship program with college credit that can lead to several certificates and associate degrees, as well as nationally recognized credentials.

About the Cybersecurity program

Red Rocks Community College offers a comprehensive Cybersecurity program. Both cybersecurity degrees and certificates provide instruction in computing systems and networks that have an important impact on data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The program introduces students to computer network threats and the appropriate incident response, to include defenses, countermeasures, and computer forensics. Students are exposed to scenarios reflecting the legal and ethical issues associated with information security. Extensive hands-on labs build practical experience in configuring a variety of network operating systems, firewalls, virtual private networks (VPN), packet filters and intrusion detection systems (IDS) to maximize information security in the network. However, the education is not complete without on-the-job training, which employer partnerships, such as that with Tyde Systems, affords the college and its students.
