Citizens of the Netherlands can apply for a Canada visa for Dutch citizens through an online portal. And it’s a mandatory requirement for Dutch citizens, not optional. Requirements of Canada Visa for Dutch citizens

To enter Canada, Dutch citizens need a valid travel document or passport to apply for Canada’s eTA. Dutch citizens holding a passport with additional citizenship should ensure that they apply with the same passport they will be travelling with, as the Canadian eTA will be linked to the passport provided at the time of application. There is no need to print or present any documents at the airport as the eTA is stored electronically with the passport in Canada’s immigration system. Applicants also need a valid credit or debit card or PayPal account to pay for the Canada eTA . Dutch citizens must also provide a valid email address to receive the Canadian eTA in their inbox.

Canada Visa For Portuguese Citizens

You’re in luck if you’re from Portugal and want to visit Canada, as Portugal is under Canada’s Visa Waiver Program, which means you don’t need a regular Canada visa for Portuguese citizens. You can apply for the Canadian ETA through the official website.

However, you can only apply for the ETA for business, tourism, medical or transit purposes. And only a regular Portuguese passport holder can apply for the ETA. If you have another purpose for visiting or another type of passport, you need to apply for a regular  Canada visa for Portuguese citizens.

WHAT IS CANADA ELECTRONIC TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION?

Certain citizens are eligible to obtain the Canadian ETA to enter Canada. The ETA is an official document that allows certain travellers to easily enter Canada. This document uses an electronic system called Electronic Travel Authorization, hence the nickname. like ETA. The ETA is a mandatory document for citizens who do not require a paper visa.
